News Drops

In 2016, when writing about the Total Solar Eclipse of 2017, I wrote, “I believe these eclipses (and potentially the eclipses in 2044/2045 and 2052) are relevant to and indicative of tribulation in America… I am saying that I believe the things that will happen will come about in the days, weeks, months, and years surrounding the eclipses. The kinds of events that come to mind for me include both wonderfully welcome and tragic happenings, like famine, pestilence, disease, terrorism, civil unrest (political, cultural, etc.), wars, earthquake, tsunami, severe weather events, economic hardship, miracles, anticipated fulfillment of prophecy, etc.

This page of the site catalogs firsts, worsts, and other major events since 2017. Buckle up. It’s a bumpy ride, and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

The largest weather-related losses—$152 billion—occurred in 2017 when hurricanes devastated Puerto Rico, Texas, Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands. What is the definition of famine?
According to Unicef, there are three elements to the agreed-upon definition of famine. They are:
1. At least one in five affected households can access just one or two basic types of food; for example, they may have a small amount of vegetables but no grains or meat
2. More than 30 per cent of under-fives are acutely malnourished
3. More than four in every 10,000 children in the affected group are dying every day

‘Lawlessness In This Country Is Worse Than Ever’
Judge Jeanine Pirro has issued a warning that lawlessness is out of control. “How would you feel if your daughter, sister, or mother were raped on a train over the course of 27 stops for 40 minutes while other train passengers and there were many, picked up their phones, not to call the police, not to call 911, but to videotape the act being perpetrated in front of them,” Pirro said. “No one interfered. No one yelled stop, no one tried to end the horror inflicted on his innocent helpless woman. Instead, they chose to take out their phones and videotape the maddening violence in front of them,” she said. “We used to say if you see something, say something. Today it’s see something, say nothing. This is a reflection of how our society has disintegrated,” she added. “[We now] have a culture that has no feeling for the victim of crime.” (See Isaiah 1. “Learn to do good: demand justice stand up for the oppressed.”) “Lawlessness in this country is worse than ever. What’s different, however, is the sense of permission the criminals have. That they are allowed to vent, to steal, to loot. After all, businesses have insurance,” Pirro declared. “So we let them steal with no consequence,… no convictions, no jail time. We’ll let them burn down neighborhoods and businesses because they want social justice,” she added.

2021 Now 4th Costliest Year-To-Date Due To Natural Disasters
As we round the corner and head toward the last quarter of 2021, the year has added up to some of the costliest natural disasters on record. Recent data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows that, year to date, 2021 has now tallied the most billion-dollar disasters with 18. This surpasses just last years’ count of 17 by the end of September. According to the NOAA, from January through the end of September, the U.S. has experienced 18 weather and climate disasters each incurring losses that exceeded $1 billion. These disasters included: nine severe storms, four tropical cyclones, two flooding events, one combined drought and heatwave, one wildfire event, and one combined winter storm and cold wave. In 2021, the U.S. is on pace to shatter its annual record for billion-dollar disasters.

California Records Driest Year In A Century
In a year of both extreme heat and extreme drought, California has reported its driest water year in terms of precipitation in a century, and experts fear the coming 12 months could be even worse. An average total of 11.87 inches of rain and snow fell in California in the 2021 water year, half of what experts deem average during a water year in California. Based on the diminished levels of both precipitation and runoff, the last water year (2021) was the second driest on record. The last time the state reported so little rain and snowfall was in 1924. COVID VAX – The Ultimate Psychological Operation
Psychological operations (PSYOP) are operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals.
The effectiveness of this operation can be attributed to various operatives (I call them operatives because they are intentionally helping out the narrative). Note the following two:
1. News Media constantly reports the bad side of COVID, including using emotional manipulation, but rarely if ever reports the bad side of the COVID Vax, perpetuating the lie that the vax is safe and effective.
2. Religious Organizations, including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, perpetuate the blatant lie that the COVID vax is “Safe and Effective,” PERIOD, and if you question it you’re an apostate of the religion.
There are other operatives, including police, policy makers, schools, employers, and more, and they all come down to one thing: get the vax or you’re a menace to society and deserve to be excluded from it in every way. This despite the fact that the vax is proven dangerous, even deadly, and is increasingly ineffective, not to mention the fact that practically every single vaccine for COVID given in the USA to date has been a science experiment without having enough time to study the mid or long-term effects, with the short-term effects being bad enough to shut the entire experiment down months ago.

Empty Shelves are Coming
The Everything Shortage – America Is Running Out of Everything
I visited CVS last week to pick up some at-home COVID-19 tests. They’d been sold out for a week, an employee told me. So I asked about paper towels. “We’re out of those too,” he said. “Try Walgreens.” I drove to a Walgreens that had paper towels. But when I asked a pharmacist to fill some very common prescriptions, he told me the store had run out. “Try the Target up the road,” he suggested. Target’s pharmacy had the meds, but its front area was alarmingly barren, like the canned-food section of a grocery store one hour before a hurricane makes landfall. This is the economy now. One-hour errands are now multi-hour odysseys. Next-day deliveries are becoming day-after-next deliveries. That car part you need? It’ll take an extra week, sorry. The book you were looking for? Come back in November. The baby crib you bought? Make it December. Eyeing a new home-improvement job that requires several construction workers? Haha, pray for 2022. The U.S. economy isn’t yet experiencing a downturn akin to the 1970s period of stagflation. This is something different, and quite strange. Americans are settling into a new phase of the pandemic economy, in which GDP is growing but we’re also suffering from a dearth of a shocking array of things—test kits, car parts, semiconductors, ships, shipping containers, workers. This is the Everything Shortage. The Everything Shortage is not the result of one big bottleneck in, say, Vietnamese factories or the American trucking industry. We are running low on supplies of all kinds due to a veritable hydra of bottlenecks.

How to Survive a Tsunami
“You don’t want to hesitate if you know a warning’s been issued or you’ve felt the ground shaking,” says Laura Kong, director of the International Tsunami Information Center in Honolulu. “You want to get going.” If you happen to be on a boat in the open ocean, stay there. Otherwise, your best course of action depends on how much time you have before the tsunami arrives. Your goal, assuming you’re on land, is to evacuate away from the coast. Try to reach someplace 100 feet above sea level or two miles away from the ocean.
I believe worse tsunami will come, making these instructions obsolete. Your best way to survive a tsunami is to not live or work near coastal states.

Therapeutic Malaria Treatment Shown To Be 100% Effective In Phase 2 Trial
The fight against one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases — malaria — may soon have two new weapons. The World Health Organization this week endorsed a vaccine, Mosquirix, made by British pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, that prevents malaria and, according to The New York Times, “could save the lives of tens of thousands of children in Africa each year.” Meanwhile, a second approach is still in clinical trials. A cancer drug repurposed to treat malaria has been shown to be nearly 100% effective in helping to defeat the disease in just three days.

The South Pole Just Had Its Coldest Winter On Record
Between April and September, a research station sitting on a high plateau in Antarctica registered an average temperature of minus 78 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s the coldest average temperature recorded since record keeping began in 1957. The previous record for the coldest winter was minus 77 Fahrenheit in 1976. Thanks to the frigid temperatures, sea ice levels around Antarctica were at their fifth highest extent on record in August. But the ice melted rapidly, and by the end of September sea ice had thinned to some of the lowest levels seen at that time of year.

Russia Launches Hypersonic Cruise Missile From A Nuclear Submarine In Historic First
In what appears to be a world-first, Russia on Monday successfully launched a hypersonic cruise missile from a submarine. Putin has called these hypersonic missiles “invincible” as they are believed so fast as to be nearly impossible to shoot down. Putin has also touted that Russia’s hypersonic arsenal is capable of evading the US mainland’s network of defensive missiles. In July of this year the Russian Navy had first successfully fired the missile from a warship in the White Sea. Russian officials have described the Zircon missile as capable of traveling upwards of Mach 9, or about 6,900 mph and a distance of 621 miles.

Hurricane Ida, which slammed into the US Gulf Coast at the weekend and killed at least four people, could become the costliest weather disaster on record.

Inland Northwest Sets String of 1st Place Records in Summer 2021 – August 26, 2021
The first in the string of heat records occurred in late June, when the Pacific Northwest found itself in the … hottest weather ever documented in the region. During that early summer heat wave, all-time records fell in numerous other Washington locations, as well, from Seattle and Olympia to Yakima and the Tri-Cities. The unprecedented heat surge was caused by a dome of high pressure pitched over the Northwest and British Columbia. The dome’s intensity level was “so statistically rare that it might be expected once every several thousand years on average,” wrote meteorologists with the Washington Post. Then came July, the hottest month in recorded history – not only in the Inland Northwest but worldwide… In another first-ever, the U.S. Drought Monitor placed much of the Inland Northwest under “exceptional” drought for the first time on July 20. This is the most severe category of the monitoring system… As if those milestones weren’t enough, our summer also took first place for persistence. Spokane notched 42 days of temperatures 90 degrees and higher, toppling the previous record of 39 days set in 1958. At times, the hot weather was more than unpleasant; it was dangerous. In Spokane County, 20 people died from the heat – more heat-related deaths than the past five years combined, according to county officials. In addition, extreme temperatures combined with the exceptional drought conditions led to numerous wildfires throughout Washington and Oregon.

It rained on the top of Greenland for the first time in recorded history. 6.3 billion tonnes of water struck the ice sheet Saturday, August 14, raining for hours instead of snow. The rain that fell from August 14th to August 15th was accompanied by the melting of up to 337,000 square miles of ice. It is reported that there are no previous reports of rainfall at this location reaching 10,551 feet. The amount of ice lost in a day is the same as the average ice lost in a normal week at the same time. Note that if all of Greenland’s ice melted, sea levels would reportedly rise about 20 feet. Also note that the weight taken off the plate would likely cause the land mass to rise.

Worldwide Coronavirus Pandemic 2019 – Ongoing
The coronavirus pandemic is a pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The pandemic brought the entire world to a relative standstill. All 50 USA states had national emergency declarations going on at the same time. It caused one of the biggest stock market crashes in history, and the USA unemployment insurance claims increased by the biggest amounts in history. Near-future unemployment rates of anywhere from 15-35% are predicted. The USA responded the the job losses by giving Americans stimulus money and pumping trillions into the economy, in what is shaping up to be the largest stimulus on record by far.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints responded by closing all temples, calling to their home countries most missionaries and closing sacrament meetings, and allowing at-home sacrament. The April General Conference was not done in front of an on-site audience but was streamed for people to watch from home.

U.S. retail sales—which account for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity—fell 8.7% in March, the largest decline since data began in 1992, according to the Commerce Department. Food and beverage sales jumped more than 25%, while nearly every other non-essential category showed large declines. Clothing and accessories sales fell more than 50%, with furniture/home furnishing and food services/drinking places sales each falling more than 25%. …Confidence among homebuilders also took a record hit. Homebuilder confidence for single-family homes fell 42 points to a reading of 30 from last month…the largest monthly decline since the index’s creation in 1985. …The International Energy Agency…predicts global oil demand will fall by a record 9.3 million barrels per day this year. “We may see it was the worst year in the history of global oil markets,” IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol said. …gallons of gasoline purchased dropped 20% last month compared to the same period a year earlier. …manufacturing activity in the New York area dropped to -78.2 in April…the lowest reading ever. …Just 7% of respondents reported stronger conditions, while 85% reported conditions had weakened. With record drops over the last month in retail sales, homebuilder confidence, energy and manufacturing, it’s likely we’ll see more record economic readings in the months to come as the U.S. economy remains at a standstill.

Hurricane Harvey Worst Rainfall Event in USA History
Some climatologists are saying that Hurricane Harvey was the worst rainfall event in the country’s history. 77 confirmed fatalities. Harvey became a Category 4 hurricane late on August 25, 2021. Hours later, it made landfall near Rockport, Texas, at peak intensity. Catastrophic inland flooding occurred in the Greater Houston area. Interesting note: Read JST Luke 21:25. It mentions signs in the sun as well as the sea, waves, and waters of the great deep (in addition to other signs). The eclipse and hurricane Harvey happened 4 days apart. The eclipse was on the 21st and Harvey was on the 25th. The chapter and verse you just read about signs in the sun and the sea, waves, and waters was 21:25. This verse is a prophecy about the generation when the times of the gentiles will be fulfilled near the time of Jesus Christ’s coming. The more I research this season, the more I feel a sense of awe. Harvey was the third 500-year-flood in Houston in 3 years.
